Nisa appoints Kim Clarkson as head of partner services

Symbol group Nisa has added Kim Clarkson to its senior leadership team

Nisa managing director Peter Batt has appointed Kim Clarkson as head of partner services, joining his senior leadership team for the symbol group.

Clarkson will be responsible for shaping the future direction of the format and development proposition, and will be supported by Karen Hopkinson, who currently heads up Nisa’s independent supply chain and logistics network.

Peter Batt, managing director of Nisa, said: “Both Kim and Karen bring a wealth of experience across wholesale, retail and logistics, and I’m delighted to announce their new roles within the business. They have both played a key part in strengthening both the Co-op and Nisa proposition and will be instrumental in helping to shape and deliver on our ambitions to be the wholesale partner of choice.”

Having joined Nisa in 2017 with more than 20 years experience in the retail and wholesale sector, Calrkson will also ensure continuity of Nisa’s service through stock control, logistics and supply chain functions, as well as delivering a partner support service.

Batt continued: “Our retailers are at the heart of the decisions we make, and the work Kim will be leading, alongside an enhanced management team and the strong backing from Co-op, will set us in good stead to deliver our long-term ambitions. I’m excited about what the future holds for Nisa.”

Clarkson was previously head of cost to serve at the symbol store, and before this was head of fresh, frozen, and direct-to-store.
