Jisp launches in all Nisa stores

Jisp’s Scan & Save loyalty service is to become available to all Nisa retailers.

Nisa is rolling out mobile app Jisp’s Scan & Save to all of its stores, allowing retailers to deliver competitive discounts on key products, across all categories, for their shoppers.

The UK-wide launch follows a trial of the app launch in Nisa stores since 2022, which saw sales increase by more than 20% on average.

Through Jisp, retailers receive weekly payments based on in-store redemption through using the app, as well as 6p back on every Scan & Save product purchased. The app uses ‘voucher technology’ to apply discounts to branded products, which is said to drive sales and loyalty.

Ayaz Alam, commerical director at Nisa, said: “It’s been really positive to see how the trial has performed and to see our retailers benefitting from a compelling value and loyalty proposition. At a time when value has never been more important to shoppers, we’re delighted to be able to scale our relationship with Jisp and to work together to enhance our offer for suppliers and retailers.”

The Jisp X Nisa trial saw the app launch in more than 200 Nisa stores, which led to an average of 3,500 voucher redemptions per store recorded over a 12-month period. These stores showed that on average, Scan & Save boosts sales by £100,000 a year while delivering over £30,000 of discounts to shoppers. In addition, Nisa said there has been a marked increase in footfall and repeat shopper visits, both double the industry average, as the service continues to drive shopper loyalty.

Ilann Hepworth, managing director of Jisp, said: “We’ve been working very closely with the team at Nisa for a while now and have built a robust support structure to ensure their retailer partners have everything they need to be successful in a competitive marketplace with Scan & Save. We’re excited by the prospect of continuing that partnership with a greater number of Nisa retailers and suppliers.”

Jisp’s top 10 performing stores show that on average, Scan & Save boosts sales by £100,000 a year while delivering over £30,000 of discounts to shoppers. In addition, there has been a marked increase in footfall and repeat shopper visits, both double the industry average, as the service continues to drive shopper loyalty.

Andrew Newton, of Nisa Local Colley Gate, Halesowen, said the Scan & Save app increased footfall and sales.

“We have around 620 active users of the app and about 100 of those use Scan & Save with us on a daily basis,” he said. “It’s going so well we’ve gone from a small table display to 19.5m of shelving dedicated to Scan & Save promoted products, and we’re increasing that again soon by another 31m.”
