News industry charity NewstrAid will be hosting its 30th Christmas carol concert this December.

Neil Jagger, NewstrAid’s CEO, said: “When our first carol concert took place back in 1993, I doubt the organisers imagined that it would still be going strong 3 decades later. Despite some difficult times, not least the recent pandemic, we are delighted that this special event remains a popular and much-loved date in the industry calendar.

“This year’s event is only possible thanks to some fantastic support from newstrade businesses for which we are extremely grateful.”

With sponsors including wholesalers, publishers and distributors, the evening will include carols and Christmas music from St Bride’s Choir along with seasonal readings by colleagues from the industry.

The NewstrAid Carol Concert is the first of three industry events taking place in the same week, the other events include the British Press Xmas Meeting on Tuesday 6 December and the ACE Christmas Lunch on Wednesday 7 December.

The carol concert is taking place at St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street on Monday 5 December at 6.45pm. Tickets cost £20 (£14 concessions) and can be booked by emailing georgia@newstraid.org.uk
