Camelot has confirmed that it will be removing two of its £10 scratchcard games due to “problem gamblers”.

The last date to activate the Diamond 7 and £4 Million Black games will be today (27 August).

Retailers received a letter this month notifying them of the removal, marking the last date for selling the games as 27 September and the last date to pay prizes as 25 March 2020.

A Camelot spokesperson said: “It’s widely recognised that the inherent risk of problem-play associated with National Lottery products is very low. However, our player protection programme has shown that £10 scratchcards over-index among problem gamblers – we’ve decided to stop selling these products once stock already in shops has run out.”
