Walkers Max launches flavour duo in collaboration with Pizza Hut

The launch comes with an on-pack promotion offering shoppers two-for-one on Pizza Hut pizzas

Walkers Max has partnered with restaurant chain Pizza Hut to launch two non-HFSS crisp varieties – Pepperoni Feast and Texan BBQ.

Both varieties are available now in 50g single bags (RRP £1), 70g £1.25 price-marked packs and 140g sharing bags (RRP £2.50).

Pepperoni Feast is also available in a 5x27g multipack with a £2 RRP. Both varieties feature a new pack design which will roll out across the wider Walkers Max range from the end of August.

The new design features chevron patterns to catch shoppers’ eyes, as well as visual cues to highlight the range’s taste, spiciness and intensity.

Doritos launches Loaded Pepperoni Pizza variety

The duo’s launch comes as the supplier tries to tap into the growing demand for pizza flavours within savoury snacking, as well as Gen Z consumers looking for more intense flavours.

Supplier PepsiCo is supporting the launch with an on-pack promotion. Running until 31 December or until the promotional packs are no longer available, it offers consumers a two-for-one offer on Pizza Hut pizzas which they can redeem via an on-pack QR code.

Lynn Grant, marketing manager for Walkers Max, said: “We know Gen Z in particular are snacking three times daily and seeking the types of intense flavours that can be found in their favourite fast food. Pepperoni is Pizza Hut’s number-one flavour and its Texan BBQ is iconic with a loyal following. By offering younger shoppers the indulgent taste of these flavours on the well-loved ridged crunch of Walkers Max, we hope to create excitement, and offer younger consumers maximum flavour.”
