Tony Houlston departs as Select & Save head of sales

Tony Houlston has departed Select & Save, after nearly six years as the symbol group’s head of sales.

Houlston joined the firm from Simply Fresh in February 2018. He has taken on a new role as sales director at alcohol supplier Virtus Brands.

Posting about his new role on social media, Houlston said: “My career has taken a change of direction and I am looking forward to the challenges, working for a young vibrant, supportive new business where we can both grow and support each other for a successful future.”

Houlston’s departure follows the resignation of the firm’s former managing director Andrew King, who left in 2022.
