Strongbow’s strongmen take Pompey to Brazil

Five amateur footballers from Portsmouth are hoping to show the England team how to win in Brazil after being chosen to play in the Strongbow ‘Earn it’ challenge.

Watched by team manager Chris Kamara, Brazilian coach Janio Cruz and assistant manager Mark Wright, the team representing Her Majesty’s Naval Base at Portsmouth, emerged ahead of hundreds of five-a-side hopefuls to win the football away-day of a lifetime in Brazil.

Michel Gillane, brand director of cider at Strongbow owner Heineken, said: “The Pompey lads have played together for nearly a decade and they really stood out from the field at our rigorous trial day in London.”
