Parfett’s sales performance, for the year ending 30 June 2023, represents a 4.7% growth from £605m. Investment in the firm’s online service has been key in achieving this sales growth.

Joint managing director Noel Robinson revealed the business’ online orders accounted for 40% of its total sales last year.

“This has been achieved without a drop in cash and carry sales,” he said. “Online allows us to extend our geographical reach and support more retailers.”

Guy Swindell, joint managing director of Parfetts, added the company is looking to “aggressively grow” its Go Local, Go Local Extra and The Local fascias beyond its current base of 1,100 stores.

“We’ve placed our retailers at the heart of our business,” he added. “As an employee-owned company, we can invest in creating great margins and providing a great experience whether you come into the depot or order online.”
