Nisa retailers experienced “significant stock shortages” in chilled availability, after a technical issue meant the wholesaler was unable to deliver into stores.

Messages sent to retailers, and seen by Better Retailing, said problems with two of Nisa’s main suppliers meant it was unable to get hundreds of cases of chilled into depot last week. However, the issue has been resolved and stores were able to get their orders again.

Asked to comment, a Nisa spokesperson told Better Retailing: “A small number of stores experienced some issues in the delivery of some chilled products due to technical issues with the supplier. Overall chilled availability remained high, and the issues were resolved quickly, with normal service resuming by the end of the weekend.”
