Nutella & Go a huge hit with customers
Independent retailers have reported hugely successful sales of Ferrero’s new Nutella & Go snack. The product has so far delivered nearly £700,000 in sales since its launch in August. One retailer had sold 71 cases in five-and-a-half weeks, while others were not able to get enough stock in.

Dennis Publishing to launch new cycling title
Following the success of Cyclist magazine, the publisher is introducing a new monthly title aimed at the road cycling sector. Bike Etc will launch at the end of October with a cover price of £4.75 and a print run of 40,000 copies.
Batteries can provide solid profit for independents
Retailers can earn more than 50% margin on batteries, with 88% of the market accounted for by AAs and AAAs. A massive 32% of battery sales come through in the 12 weeks before Christmas.
