Frontline is selling unsold magazines to Poundland at discounted prices in conjunction with Smiths News.

The distributor said the scheme, which gives up to a 60% cover-price discount on brands including OK!, Girl Talk and Take a Break began in August 2019 in 45 test stores before rolling out to 503 sites by April 2020.

Smiths News provided in-store merchandising support. It said: “Our strategy was centred around highlighting the value a category like magazines can offer to a large value retailer.”
