'We would hate them to miss out on the plans we have lined up from February'

Nearly a quarter of retailers are yet to sign the new contracts required for them to continue selling National Lottery products.

Allwyn revealed that, with just six weeks to go until the 18 December contract deadline, more than 75% of retailers have signed up to work with the new lottery operator, which takes over in February 2024.

Better Retailing understands services could be disabled for those that do not sign the new contract.

Allwyn’s operations director, Jenny Blogg, said: “We’re now working to reach those remaining retailers who have not yet signed. We would hate them to miss out on the plans we have lined up from February.”

Allwyn also revealed stores will have to complete training “digitally” ahead of the changeover.
