Allwyn confirms ‘vast majority’ of subpostmasters want to continue offering National Lottery

A message from the National Federation of SubPostmasters urged those retailers yet to provide notice to do so as soon as possible

Future of National Lottery

Allwyn has confirmed the “vast majority” of subpostmasters want to continue offering the National Lottery, after Post Office ended its agreement with the service provider earlier this year. Subpostmasters who wish to continue offering services must advise Allwyn.

A message from the National Federation of SubPostmasters urged those yet to provide notice to do so as soon as possible.

Better Retailing understands the transition is moving smoothly, with the number of subpostmasters required to notify Allwyn reducing daily. A Post Office spokesperson confirmed it has issued reminders to subpostmasters.

A Camelot and Allwyn spokesperson said: “We urge anyone who is yet to send us the information we need to do so as soon as possible to ensure we have time to credit-check and process them ahead of the Retailer Agreement deadline of 18 December.”
