ITS launches new handheld EPoS terminal

The terminal allows retailers to update pricing, conduct stock orders and check sales figures remotely

IT Retail Systems (ITS) has launched a handheld EPoS terminal designed to provide retailers with remote sales reports, price updating and ordering.

RM2GO is being rolled out more widely in 2024, following a soft launch in the previous year, and is currently being used by 130 retailers.

Available on an Android device supplied by ITS, the service allows stores to use EPoS services remotely. The firm’s managing director Tanveer Mirza told Better Retailing: “You can be away from the store in another country and conduct your price changes, look at sales history and download files for new products remotely. You can also book deliveries.”

Other major features include real-time sales reporting, WiFi and 4G/5G connectivity and the ability for retailers to compare supplier cost prices in-store or at cash and carry. Store owners can also edit pricing and promotions for electronic shelf-edge labelling, and print reduced to clear labels with a compatible printer.

Vrajesh Patel, of Londis Dagenham, has been using the device for several months and told Better Retailing it had helped him save 90 minutes in staff hours a day.

The device costs £695 with a £45 monthly fee. Support and maintenance is provided as part of the subscription fee.
