Retailers have urged suppliers to provide more clarity on product shortages, following reports that availability is getting as bad as it was during the pandemic.
Over the past two years, the pandemic and driver shortages meant there were major gaps on popular products across convenience stores. However, retailers told betterRetailing the issues were ongoing, with frustration over a lack of communication from suppliers.
Products that retailers reported having issues getting hold of in the past three months included Inch’s cider, Heinz baked beans, Coca-Cola, Lucozade, Ribena, Vimto and popular KP Snacks lines.
