Häagen-Dazs cocktail ice cream range to return to stores

Alcohol ice cream is growing annually at 6%

Häagen-Dazs

Häagen-Dazs has announced the return of its summer cocktail-inspired range of alcoholic ice creams.

The range features the return of Lime Mojito Sorbet and Piña Colada varieties after a strong performance in 2021. Supplier General Mills says they will be available to convenience and wholesale in a pint format “over the coming months,” having launched in Asda. They will also be available in a mini cup format exclusively in Co-op from 21 March.

The return of the range comes as demand for alcohol ice cream is growing, with the segment seeing a global compound annual growth rate of 6%. Each flavour has less than 1.1% of alcohol per tub.

Jose Alves, marketing manager at Häagen-Dazs UK, said: “The Häagen-Dazs cocktail collection flavours will bring an exotic moment of joy to consumers, through the unique combination of our luxurious creamy ice cream and two cocktail favourites. The multiformat range will inspire different consumption occasions that will drive trade up in the category this summer.”
