Ferrero bringing back limited-edition Kinder Bueno Coconut

Initial three-month 2017 run delivered nearly £1m in retail sales value

Ferrero has announced that it is bringing back its limited-edition Kinder Bueno Coconut in response to “significant” consumer demand.

The flavour was last available in the summer of 2017, with the supplier deeming it enough of a success to make a return.

It will be available in standard and 60p price-marked packs (PMP). The standard version will launch for wholesale and convenience on 4 May, with the PMP due later in the month. There are also in-store PoS displays available from Ferrero’s trade website.

According to the supplier, the variant’s 2017 release delivered nearly £1m retail sales value in three months. It also generated a 65% overall sales increase. Half of these new sales were to shoppers who were new to the brand. Ferrero

Levi Boorer, customer development director at Ferrero, said: “Following the success and positive consumer support Ferrero achieved from the launch of Kinder Bueno Coconut in 2017, we are thrilled to be in a position to offer convenience retailers the opportunity to restock this summertime favourite.

“We are confident that the limited-edition flavour will entice a wave of new shoppers into the brand, such as those who are excited to pick up a more exotic treat on the go.”
