Cadbury Brunch Bar gets a protein upgrade

Peanut is the number one flavour in protein-rich products, accounting for 43% of value sales

Mondelez International is expanding its Cadbury Brunch Bar range with a new format and two new additions.

The Choc Chip variety will be available as a single bar for the first time, in a 32g format with an RRP of 55p.

Also joining the range is Peanut Protein, Cranberry and Nuts Protein.

The Peanut Protein bar is a development of the brand’s original peanut flavour, with the added protein. Peanut is the number one flavour in protein, accounting for 43% of value sales of protein products.

Both new flavours will be available in 5x32g multipacks at an RRP of £2.

Anna Petsi, brand manager for Cadbury Brunch Bar at Mondelez says: “99% of cereal bar buyers see taste as the most important criteria when buying a protein bar. The single bars and should be ranged in the on-the-go biscuits section, near the front of store or alongside the confectionery fixture to maximise impulse sales.
