Budweiser has launched a new advertising campaign highlighting how its products are now brewed with 100% renewable electricity.

Released to coincide with Earth Day, the short video advert features a dalmatian being carted by shire horses through a wind farm, accompanied by Blowin’ in the Wind by Bob Dylan.

Budweiser says the move towards sustainable production is helping to secure “a brighter future for all of us, one kilowatt at a time”.

Prominent spaces across the UK will carry the film and associated messaging.

The release says: “Since January 2021, every single can, bottle, and keg of Budweiser in the UK is now brewed with electricity from solar and wind sources.

“Budweiser Brewing Group generates enough renewable electricity in the UK to power the brewing operations of not only Budweiser but also Bud Light, Stella Artois, Corona, and Becks.”

In December 2020, Budweiser installed wind turbines and dedicated solar farms at its Magor brewery in South Wales to fully power all its operations. The beer producer has also signed a 15-year deal with NextEnergy Solar Fund to use the surplus electricity generated by the two solar farms.
