Budgens is showing the most consistent growth of any symbol group, according retail estate analysts Maximise UK.
Founder David Haywood told Better Retailing the brand has added 20-30 sites every six months for a number of years, fuelled by forecourt site conversions.
Budgens brand director Baker to retire
In 2018 Booker added the Budgens range to a South Yorkshire Booker Retail Partners depot to aid northern expansion.
Eighty stores were added in 12 new areas such as York, Manchester and Newcastle.
