The UK’s first Budgens-branded garden centre is set to open soon, under the charge of a leading independent retailer.
Budgens brand director Baker to retire
Avtar ‘Sid’ Sidhu, of Budgens Kenilworth in Warwickshire, will open the 2,500sq ft site at the back of his convenience store following success selling plants during lockdown.
He told Better Retailing: “We’re calling it Budgens Plant Pantry, and have brought someone in to oversee it. It’ll be a full-blown garden centre with a few thousand lines.”
