Nairn’s has launched a 24-case format of its Pop Oats snack range, responding to increased consumer interest in healthy savoury snacks.
Pop Oats are non-HFSS and gluten free, available in Salt & Vinegar, BBQ and Sour Cream & Chive varieties at an RRP of 89p-99p.
The supplier claims it the range is the first ever gluten-free popped oat snack.
Ken Cameron, national account controller at Nairn’s, said: “There is a growing number of customers interested in innovative, healthy and free from snacks which don’t compromise on taste. With new regulations, such as HFSS or the School Food Standards, wholesalers and retailers need to be able to offer options to their customers that are both compliant, but also in line with customer needs. Nairn’s Pop Oats tick many boxes, making them a great savoury snack option to stock in cafés, schools, offices, convenience stores, and more.
Cameron added: “Increasing prices due to the cost-of-living crisis have hit many small retail businesses hard. At Nairn’s, we are working hard to find innovative solutions that can allow saving on costs and therefore avoid price increases. The new bigger case of Pop Oats now includes 24 packs, a size that now allows the packing of the case automated and therefore saving on cost preventing an increase in price per unit.”
