EXCLUSIVE: Booker Retail Partners to get Jack’s Own Label

Booker Retail Partners are to be given access to Tesco’s Jack’s own-label range from the 23 September.

Messages from Booker, seen by Better Retailing confirmed pre-orders of the range will be available from late september. The communication read: “Jack’s is an exclusive range of products from Tesco and we are pleased to announce that we are launching Jack’s products in Booker Retail Partners from 23 September.”

The introduction comes as 50 initial lines from the Jack’s range was introduced into One Stop stores last month. The lines are being introduced in three phases. The first is chilled and frozen, followed by grocery and ambient across the following two phases. Pricing of the range includes 40p for rich tea biscuits and 60p to 85p for sauces.

Jack’s range was introduced in 2018 when Tesco launched its discounter format under the same name. 

It follows the trend of multiples increasing their focus on value own-label ranges to cater to lockdown shopping trends. 

As revealed by RN, the Co-op is to launch an ‘Honest Value’ range.

A Booker Retail Partners spokesperson said: “We’re excited to bring Jack’s products to our Budgens and Londis retailers from the end of September. With the introduction of Jack’s products, the range will offer our retailers even more choice of great quality, great value food.”
