Unilever launches Cornetto, Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum and Wall’s additions

Unilever is launching a range of ice cream products under its Cornetto, Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum and Wall’s Kids brands.

Last year Cornetto trialled Strawberry and Classico £1 PMPs, which doubled the unit sales of an undisclosed retailer compared with the previous year. Cornetto will now extended the price-marked 90ml products across the market and add Mint and Chocolate variants to the range.

Cornetto is also launching two new flavours to its Premium range, Peanut Butter Crunch and Cookie’s ‘n’ Dream, which are topped by a chocolate cracking disc. The variants are available out of home, RRP £1.50 and multipacks of four, RRP £2.99.

Ben & Jerry’s has unveiled a Cookie Core range, which includes three flavours, What-a-Lotta-Chocolate, Utter Peanut Butter Clutter and Speculoos? Specu-Love, RRP £4.99.

Magnum is showing its playful and sophisticated sides by launching two new limited-edition flavours, Magnum Pink Raspberry and Magnum Black Espresso.

The new variants are available in singles and three-pack multipacks, RRP £1.90 and £3.35 respectively.

Wall’s Kids has launched Music Tornado, a candyfloss flavoured ice cream, which includes one of four different whistles as the stick. It is available in boxes of 30, RRP £1. The brand is also relaunching Mini Milk with a new recipe.

Noel Clarke, brand building director for ice cream at Unilever, told Retail Express: “Unilever is providing this innovation and yes it tastes nice and there are interesting flavours, but more tactically it’s the right price point to get retailers sales in April and May.”
