Covid vaccine: prioritise shopworkers urges Usdaw

Usdaw has urged the government to place shopworkers and delivery drivers high on the priority list for coronavirus vaccines and routine testing.

The trade union’s general secretary, Paddy Lillis, said: “Retail staff work with the public every day and are not only at risk of abuse, but also of contracting Covid-19.

“We call on the government to ensure retail workers and delivery drivers are given priority before the vaccine is rolled out to the general population.”
