A convenience store has won its battle to have its old alcohol license with later opening hours restored after a new owner took over.

A convenience store has won its battle to have its old licensing hours restored after a new owner took over.

Moordown Post Office, Bournemouth, had its alcohol licence scaled back, with alcohol sales only allowed until 6.30pm on Monday to Saturday and 2.30pm on Sunday after a prior owner was twice fined for selling booze to under-18s.

But new owner Alpeshukumar Patel was able to get the old hours, until 11pm every night and 10.30pm on Sundays, restored.

He was warned to never become associated with selling alcohol to underage children.
