A new Spar forecourt has opened on Moffat high street. The 1,000sq ft store and petrol station is the latest addition to Spar Scotland’s list of independent stores.
Independent retailer Sai Elaprolu worked with wholesaler CJ Lang & Son and joined Spar Scotland, as they held similar values.
Elaprolu said: “We had a passion for retail and customer services, which is where we started our career. The team at CJ Lang have supported us right from day one and they will go above and beyond to work with the retailers.

When Elaprolu initially took over the site it was in a poor condition. The CJ Lang team helped him with the refit, including designing the layout and décor. The site has since opened and has been welcomed by the community.
Sales director for Spar Scotland Mike Leonard said: “It is amazing to hear such great feedback from Sai about the hard working members of our team and how they’ve all ensured the joining process is as smooth and efficient as possible for our independent retailers.
