Several of the multiple’s franchisees praised the supermarket for the initiative, adding that it was made available to them in January.
A Morrisons spokesperson said: “We’re continuing to listen and respond to feedback from our retailers and one area they continue to raise is the impact of waste and markdown.
“At this quieter time of year, we know that the cost of waste can be a barrier to carrying really strong fresh ranges. We are therefore offering to pick some single lines, at our cost, to help our retailers through to stronger trading periods in the spring and summer.”
