Retailers report loss of access to Uber Eats range

A number of local shops partnered with Uber Eats reported losing access to the ability to directly control their online ranges.

The menu maker feature on the Uber Eats app allows outlets to amend their products, terms, images and pack sizes.

The function allows convenience stores to quickly respond to availability and pricing changes.

However, Sundeep ‘Sunny’ Singh, owner of Jay’s Cabin in Wombourne, Wolverhampton, was one of many retailers to run into difficulties. He told Better Retailing: “Uber Eats has recently not been allowing its off-licence retailers to access the menu maker. It needs to take action and bring back the menu maker immediately.”

An Uber Eats spokesperson said: “We are currently investigating this issue. All stores on the Uber Eats platform are able to amend their menus via Uber Eats’ support channels.”
