Nisa retailers have criticised the wholesaler’s decision to scrap its three-week PLOF for a weekly alternative.

Better Retailing understands the decision was made after requests from some store owners for more thorough and timely pricing information. Communication about the change, seen by Better Retailing, said: “The files are named by price zone and have a date range applied to indicate the price you will be charged over those seven days based on orders placed.

“We have been informed by some customers that more information is needed on these files for them to be fully comprehensive and we have been working closely with these customers to gather feedback.”

However, some retailers criticised the decision, claiming the new system was introduced without any warning.
