Kepak to launch new Rustlers hot food machine into convenience

The machine will be dispatched into convenience stores from April

Kepak is to launch a fully automated Rustlers hot food to go machine into convenience from April.

The machine was unveiled at the ACS Forecourt, Power and Convenience conference on 31 January. It is 60cm wide and features a chiller at the bottom to store Rustlers products. The centre of the machine has equipment to heat the products, while a digital display at the top advertises available products, pricing and promotions to potential customers. The microwave also scans the barcode of the Rustlers product and automatically sets the heating time for the customer.

Retailers can order the machine now, with dispatch to stores in April. Prices start from £48 per month.

Commenting on the machine, Kepak automated retail and new business controller (foods division), Carl Hunter told Better Retailing: “At Kepak we have a wide range of Hot Food to go solutions suitable for all environments. This ensures the customer has full control and options to get best return on investment.

“The new machines have been specifically developed with the consumer in mind, we can adapt them to suit any environment with our build partners. We also have new technology available including ‘promotional screens’ & full automation.”

“We have options for any environment, if you sell or are looking to sell Rustlers or a Hot Food solution and have sales from one unit per day, our equipment provides return on investment.”
