Imperial Tobacco increases prices across product range

The supplier’s cheapest cigarettes are now nearly £11 per pack

Imperial Tobacco is to up recommended retail prices (RRPs) across its tobacco brands from 31 October, according to letters sent to stores last week.

Imperial’s 20-cigarette packs are to increase by 50p, while 30g, 50g and 100g pouches of rolling tobacco will rise by 90p, £1.45-£1.50 and £3, respectively.

The tobacco company’s most-common cigar five- and six-packs will rise by 30p. Ten-packs of JPS Players Crushball Cigarillos are also to increase by 30p.

The supplier’s cheapest cigarettes are now nearly £11 per pack.

The price rises are Imperial’s second of 2022, with most of its recommended cigarette prices now 90p higher than at the beginning of the year.
