How would you spend £1,000? RN prizewinners revealed

In December, RN offered 10 readers £1,000 each for the best ideas on how they’d invest it in their business. Editor Jack Courtez announces the winners and reveals their plans for the funds

“Adding automatic sliding doors would give the shop a fresh and appealing new look.

“The investment would also support our efforts to minimise the spread of germs as fewer of my customers would be touching the door when entering and leaving.

“It would also help with energy bills by keeping the doors closed.”

Vince Malone

Tenby Stores, Tenby, Pembrokeshire

“We would provide internet access by investing the funds in two fixed tablets, two stands and improved Wi-Fi in the store for customers’ use.

“It would not just showcase our own offering, but also highlight points of interest in the town.

“There is no internet café function in town, with the library being the only access point currently. This would clearly be used by locals and tourists alike.”
