Häagen-Dazs celebrates female founder on International Women’s Day

Häagen-Dazs rebrand

Häagen-Dazs is celebrating International Women’s Day on 8 March with a rebrand and limited-edition design celebrating its female co-founder.

The supplier is adding “woman-founded business” to its logo in honour of its co-founder Rose Mattus, who helped grow the brand alongside her husband Reuben.

Additionally, there will be limited-edition pint packs of Häagen-Dazs Vanilla, renamed ‘Founder’s favourite’, with a commemorative Rose Mattus design, available this month.

The supplier will also launch ‘The Rose Project’, an initiative pledging $100,000 in bursaries to support women around the world. People can nominate unsung women who they feel deserve recognition for their achievements.

From these nominations, a shortlist of 50 ‘women who don’t hold back’ will be selected and put forward for the chance to win one of five monetary grants of $20,000 each.

They can either use this money to continue their work or give to a charity of their choice.
