Budweiser partners with retailers in Emirates FA Cup sales drive

Convenience stores are set to boost beer sales as Budweiser partners with retailers for its sponsorship of the Emirates FA Cup.

As official beer of the Emirates FA Cup until 2018, the brand will partner with convenience stores to run promotions and offer customers the chance to win tickets, signed merchandise and other football prizes.

Budweiser is also brining back its Dream Goal campaign in a hunt for Britain’s best amateur goals.

Consumers can submit their videos for a chance to see their goal analysed on TV, as well as star in Budweiser’s TV ads and take away £50,000 for the non-league club of their choice.

To support the campaign, the brand is partnering with football website Grass Root Goals, Unilad and TalkSport.

The winning goal will be revealed on May 15 with a 90-second TV ad.

Laura Salway, senior brand manager at Budweiser, said: “Our off-trade activity will further cement Budweiser’s association with football, while allowing retailers to maximise on the occasion with exclusive, exciting offerings for customers.”
