Brookfield Drinks has launched Neo Wtr, a 100% recycled-ocean bound plastic bottle with a recyclable cap and label, a first for the category.
Neo Wtr has an RRP of £1.25 for a 500ml bottle, it will roll out to wholesalers across the country from the beginning of June.
The development of this bottle came about after research showed that by 2050 oceans could contain more plastic than fish.

Each 500ml bottle is made using discarded plastic that has been collected along coastlines that are at-risk of ocean plastic pollution.
Nigel McNally, managing director of Neo Wtr, said: “The pressure is mounting on soft drinks manufactures to provide solutions to prevent a global disaster.”
