In September United Biscuits and Retail Express teamed up to visit Tariq Majid at his Mace store in Berkshire.
Hena Chandarana from UB used the principles of Better Biscuits, Better Business – the company’s five-step category management programme for convenience stores – to implement changes to his biscuits category.
Hena’s makeover of the fixture included making sure it contained the bestselling brands; that the fixture was attractive to customers, and that prices were easily visible. The result was a brighter, smarter fixture with several new products and point of sale and his total biscuit sales had an uplift of 11%.
