Border Biscuits reduces plastic in its packaging

As part of a £1.6m investment, Border Biscuits has announced that it is removing 90% of the plastic from its packaging.

The products will now be made with recyclable cardboard, which means that its products will now weigh 50% less, meaning twice as many packs can fit onto a pallet.

Suzie Carlaw, Border Biscuits marketing manager, said: “Innovating to reduce single-use plastic has been a key focus over the last 12 months and our new packaging means we can address the environmental concerns of our customers without compromising on quality.”
