Booths halves annual losses following Amazon supply agreement

The premium grocery chain signed an agreement with Amazon to supply its own-label range across more than 300 London postcodes.

Booths has halved its annual losses following the conclusion of its wholesale supply agreement with Amazon to supply own-label products across the south of England.

The premium grocery chain's agreement with Amazon saw it supply its own-label range across more than 300 London postcodes. Annual losses before tax for the financial year ending 31 March were £5.5m.

The company is also aiming to turn around a £5m decline in annual turnover by refocusing on its pricing strategy. A spokesperson said: “The decision to invest in core pricing across a number of product areas is to stimulate footfall and improve our convenience offer.”
