Bestway Wholesale delivery requirements increased

The jump in cost is in part due to 'an increased number of customers' according to internal message seen by betterRetailing

Bestway Wholesale delivery

Bestway Wholesale has increased its minimum required spend for free deliveries from £750 to £1000.

The changes, which came into effect on 7 October, exclude tobacco and VAT. Any order between £500 and £1000 will incur a £25 delivery charge, while any order under £500 can only be collected at a retailer’s chosen depot.

The wholesaler communicated the changes to retailers in an internal message. The message read: “We are committed to providing the best customer service for all our delivered, collect, and cash and carry customers, and as such are continuously reviewing the best way to operate in an efficient way to positively impact your customer experience.

“This change will enable us to continue offering an efficient delivered service to an increased number of customers. It also means that we can continue to invest in the competitive prices and promotions across our products that support you in running your own businesses profitably.”

The wholesaler has also introduced a £25 charge for a handballing service. Retailers who pay the charge will have their deliveries unpacked and moved into their store.
