Big brands go nuts for Brazil

A carnival of activity from a raft of brands ahead of the World Cup is expected to brighten up retailers’ sales this summer.

45% of consumers plan to stock up on snacks during the summer sport in Brazil

Instant snack brand Pot Noodle has rolled out a new Brazilian BBQ Steak flavour, RRP £1.09. The launch is backed by a £2m marketing campaign, including TV, to capitalise on the anticipated increased exposure for Brazilian flavours this year. It is also running an on-pack promotion, giving consumers the chance to win Brazilian-themed prizes across the new flavour, as well as the top four flavours (Chicken & Mushroom, Beef & Tomato, Original Curry and Bombay Bad Boy).

Meanwhile, chilled snack brand Mattessons Fridge Raiders has added a limited edition Brazilian Chargrilled flavour to its range, and Just Juice has launched an orange, mango & lime ‘Brazil blend’ juice drink, available until the end of July.
