Vape shops shamed for ‘flouting’ coronavirus lockdown

The stores in question were later paid a call by trading standards

Vape shops were criticised for flouting the coronavirus lockdown last month by staying open despite being ordered to close.

Broski’s Vape Store owner Billy Grigolo told Bristol Live: “We are not open to ‘money grab’ – we provide an essential service to our customers and we don’t want to let them down.

“We implemented a one-in, one-out policy and cleaned down the counters after every customer. All staff were checking their temperatures every day.”

The store was visited by trading standards on 2 April and closed the next day.

Similarly, Revo Vapes in Morley, Leeds, was served a prohibition notice by the council after the local police discovered a member of the public being served through a window.
