An average of £350 per store is being spen

The update will ensure the permanent PoS is fit for purpose until the end of Camelot’s extended licence period in 2023, and coincides with its decision to update its brand image.

“It’s been a big job, but 80% of our sales are from retailers and it is about making the brand clearer for them to increase their sales,” said Camelot’s sales director Duncan Malyon.

The five-month rollout will begin in mid-July and 27,000 independent retailers will receive a call three weeks before the installation to inform them of the details.

The new design aims to make it easier for customers to recognise the full National Lottery range, from scratch cards to online games.

“The feedback we’ve had from retailers so far has been great. They seem to be pleased with how it will stand out in their store and its contemporary design, which is what we were trying to achieve,” Malyon added.
