Stratford Retail Group plans Morrisons Daily conversion

MORRISONS Morrisons generic

Stratford Retail Group is on the hunt for new forecourt retailers as it expects to convert its entire estate to the Morrisons Daily fascia by the end of March.

The company’s director, Nerissa Haskic, told Better Retailing half of its 29 sites are currently still operating under the Londis brand. The company acquired the sites from MPK Garages in August last year.

Haskic told Better Retailing: “It’s a great opportunity and great partnership, which has been really successful for us so far. The main difference between the brands is that Londis was very much a desperation shop for cigarettes and alcohol.

“We’re trying to offer a top-up shop throughout the week and it offers a much more sensible price point for the customer. We’re halfway through switching all our sites to the Morrisons Daily fascia and we have the same plans for any other acquisitions in the future.”
