Straight Cut Seabrook crisps make successful return

Seabrook Crisps is hoping its new addition to the crisps market is a cut above the rest.

After a successful launch into the grocery channel, the company is introducing a range of Straight Cut crisps into the impulse sector. The three-strong range – Sea Salted, Cheese & Onion and Sea Salt & Vinegar flavours – is available from the end of this month, RRP 55p each.

The launch will be supported by a range of promotional deals and a social media marketing campaign.

The Straight Cut crisps were last on shelves a decade ago, but Seabrook made the decision to bring them back after fans kept requesting them through Facebook and Twitter. Since its relaunch in grocery last year, Seabrook Straight Cut has grown 4.6% in value.

“Shoppers love the taste of Seabrook so we are expanding our offering to allow retailers to grow sales with straight cut devotees.” said Kevin Butterworth, Seabrook Crisps marketing director.
