STG launches its guide to the dark market

With less than six months to go before the tobacco display ban arrives, Scandinavian Tobacco Group has launched the second phase of its Gantry Guardians guide.

The guide (pictured) has been released to provide retailers with information on the key steps that need to be taken before the market goes dark in April next year.

The advisory guide includes a countdown calendar and peer-to-peer advice from STG UK’s Gantry Guardians, who have contributed their opinions and experiences.

James Higgs, head of marketing and public affairs at STG UK, said: “With less than six months to go until the arrival of the dark market, retailers need to be strategic in their preparations. Our countdown calendar is ideal for supporting retailers through this process and can be kept behind the till to help keep them on track with their planning.

“Our focus for the months ahead is to support retailers through this transitional period and ensure they’re ready and, more importantly, compliant, by the time the display ban arrives in April.”
