Kellogg’s announces Ancient Legends range, cereal bars and 2016 Olympic Games partnership

Kellogg’s unveils details of its plans to shake up the breakfast category, with new bars as well as launching Ancient Legends, a granola and muesli range.

Kellogg’s has unveiled details of its plans to shake up the breakfast category, with a range of new cereals and snack bars.

Kellogg’s has also been announced as an official Team GB partner for next year’s Olympic Games.

From April to June, it is offering five shoppers a prize worth £15,000 in an on-pack promotion running across 40g price-marked Pringles and single snacks such as Nutri-Grain, Coco Pops bars and Squares.

In July, two new themed Pringles flavours will be available.

The range of new snack bars includes Nutty Chewy Bar: Dark Chocolate and Roasted Almonds and a 5 Grain Muesli Bar: Red Apple, Peanuts and Pumpkin Seeds, RRP 69p.

The brand will give away 1.5million bars from January and back the products with a £2m marketing campaign that includes press advertising.

In addition, Kellogg’s is launching Ancient Legends, a granola and muesli range.

One granola flavour and one muesli flavour will be available in convenience, with £2.49 price-marked packs coming into the market from March.

The launch is being backed by a £7.5m marketing campaign that includes TV, outdoor and digital advertising, as well as PR and social media activity. PoS is available to retailers.
