Jones The Grocer looking to expand across the UK

A site at Heathrow Airport is due to open in 2024 with plans to expand further across the UK

 Upmarket grocer brand Jones The Grocer is looking for UK franchisees as it prepares for the launch of its first UK site. 

The chain, originally from Australia but with sites in the UAE, Qatar, India, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, describes itself as an “unconventional grocery store, café and cheese room”. The company’s slogan is ‘gourmet food for everyday living’.

Sites typically feature eat-in dining spaces surrounded by ‘wrap-around gourmet grocery’ ranges. A site at Heathrow Airport is due to open in 2024 and a message seen by Better Retailing states: “We are looking to expand further across the UK and invite aspiring entrepreneurs and food enthusiasts to contact us for further information.” 

Four models are available, including a 540sq ft-1,080sq ft format that includes a prep kitchen, impulse retail and grab-and-go fridges.
