Imperial Tobacco’s new anti-illicit trade website reaches 1,000 hits

Anti-illicit trade website 'Suspect it! Report it!' has reached 1,000 hits from retailers and consumers since its launch a month ago.

Anti-illicit trade website 'Suspect it! Report it!' has reached 1,000 hits from retailers and consumers since its launch a month ago.

The website contains information about the latest developments in illicit tobacco and visitors can also download posters, videos and infographics.

The site also contains a contact form for those who want to find out more about the company's activity.

Peter Nelson, anti-illicit trade manager at Imperial Tobacco, said a third of the websites users are return visitors, meaning that they are checking back to stay up to date.

"Our goal for the site was that it would act as a valuable resource in the continuing fight against illegal tobacco, and it seems as if the early metrics are bearing this ambition out," he added.

Retailers can keep track of the latest news from the 'Suspect it? Report it!' on the campaign's Twitter feed.
