Retailers should focus on South American wines to grow sales, Concha y Toro has advised.

Latest Nielsen sales figures for still wine reveal that the combined growth of Chilean and Argentinian wines, growing at 4.1% and 11.2%, respectively, has led to South America overtaking Italy in terms of value sales of still wine.

South American varieties are now worth £709.4m in value, with a 12.6% share of the total market; Italian wines have decreased by 2.5% in value to £70.2m.
